KERATOCONUS MEANS ASYMMETRY:
TREAT IT WITH ASYMMETRIC DEVICE
VTR (Variable Thickness Ring) is the innovative intrastromal corneal ring with different thickness in the same segment for adapting to the tomographic features of the ectatic corneal pathologies. Its shape is elliptical and it is made of polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA). Available in different arc lengths and different thickness. The early diagnosis and the stabilization after CXL have generated a wide number of patients with mild and moderate stable keratoconus. VTR is the best way to improve the visual performance of these patients.
ARC LENGTH
Available in two different arc length: 120° and 160°.
The VTR with 120° arc length presents the thickest part at the end of the ring. The VTR with 160° arc length presents the thickest part in the middle of the ring.
THICKNESS
Available in different thickness ranged from 200μm to 400μm
OPTICAL ZONE
VTR is available in two models:
one with thickest part at the end of the ring
one with the thickest part in the center of the ring.
They describe an optical zone of 5 mm or 6 mm.
Effectiveness of the Implant
Success rate of interventions> 95%
Minimally invasive surgery
Reversibility
The hallmarks of the Variable Thickness Ring for a competitive advantage
Introduction of through holes along the entire segment in order to allow the passage of organic fluids
Variable thickness from one end to the other to allow more defined corneal curvature corrections
The shape allows greater effectiveness
Flexibility in the supply of single and different thickness segments
